PENTIMENTO

PERFORMANCE THEATRE

Pentimento in art is a visible trace of earlier paintings. This idea is extrapolated to show a transition in the process of making an artwork. The design of the building intends to reverse the hermetic nature of a theatre by bringing street life into the theatre and vice versa to create intimacy. It will bridge the gap between inside and outside through spatial organization to promote visual connection with the outside.

Street life is seen as a ‘performance’ that needs to be connected with the theatre.
